What is CME-Online ?
CME-Online was developed in response to physicians' increasing needs for readily accessible educational materials along with the need for quality CME on the Internet. CME-Online gives physicians the opportunity to access topics of interest when he or she has a teachable moment. They can choose and view content, take a test to obtain CME credit, and print a certificate without ever leaving the web site.

Is CME-Online free, if not what does it cost ?
Yes, it is free for anyone to read and learn. CME-Online also offers category 1 AMA CME credit at a rate of $15/per credit hour. If you are a part of a subscribing organization, prices may be discounted.

How do I become a member ?
Simple! Anyone can become a member by filling out the registration form online. click here. You may also become a member by being a part of a subscribing organization on CME-Online.

What are the requirements to use CME-Online ?
 
Any Pentium-class, multimedia-enabled PC that supports the following web browsers:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher
*
Netscape 4.07 or higher
*
Mozilla/4.0 or higher
Internet (28.8 mbps minimum, 56.6 or above recommended) or intranet access to the web server.

Is CME-Online accredited by the ACCME ?
  Yes.
Accreditation
Washington University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
  Credit
Washington University will designate each educational activity for a maximum of (the amount is specific to each course) hours in category 1 credit toward the AMA Physicians' Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spends doing the educational activity.
  Timeliness
All programs receive a publication and a review date. As per the requirements of the ACCME, each course can remain on the web site for a maximum of three years.

What are subscribing organizations ?
  Organizations of people who are directly related to, support, or partner with Washington University CME-Online to better the continuing medical education community. Subscribing organizations have their own custom welcome page, so your organization feels at home, when logging in. Most importantly, you and your colleagues will have the opportunity to access high quality educational programs authored by faculty of Washington University School of Medicine whenever you have a teachable moment and at a discounted price! The discounted price will be determined by your organization.

Am I in a subscribing organization ?
  If you are a member of a subscribing organization, you should have received an Organizational Code to enter when you register or use as your password. Currently to be in a subscribing organization you must be a part of the following, or contact us to start your own subscribing organization.

Can I create a subscribing organization ?
  We welcome your interest and hope you and your organization are able to join. Yes, if the proper ideas, information, and guidelines meet the requirements for an organization, we can create a subscribing organization for you.

As a subscribing organization on CME-Online, Your Organization membership will include:
Affiliation with the educational activities provided by Washington University School of Medicine CME
Online welcome page created to reflect Your Organization commitment to the professional education of their constituents and affiliation with Washington University School of Medicine CME
An Organizational Code, specific to Your Organization members allowing the members to directly enroll and receive the benefits to which Your Organization have subscribed.
Cost effective and time efficient continuing medical education

  2. Click on My Profile on the left hand side.
  3. Edit your password and profile information.
  4. Click Update in the upper right corner.

  1. Login to cme-online.wustl.edu
  2. Click on Report Card on the left hand side.
  3. Four options should come up for tracking your status, click on My Test Results.
  4. Choose the course and date from the drop down menu.
  5. Click View Report
